Family Place: 1-2-3 Play with Me

Playing with your baby or child is not only important for bonding but is also an educational experience for your child. We are providing a special time for four weeks for you to come to the library and spend one-on-one time playing with your child. A different community resource professional will be available each week to answer your parenting questions. This free series is intended for infants through age four with their parents or guardians. Pre-register by calling the library or visiting the Information Desk.

Come and read to a dog! Readers can come to practice and improve their reading skills. The dogs with their owners act as an uncritical, appreciative audience with excellent listening skills! The dogs and their owners are certified therapy teams. Bring your own book or borrow one from us!

Oklahoma Red Dirt Stamping

Children will learn how to use natural objects to make stamps, and use paint made from Oklahoma red dirt. Ideas of design and composition will be introduced. Students will get to take their unique one of a kind art pieces home to display. Presented by Kiona Millirons. Child Development Screenings

Child Guidance is offering developmental and speech/language screenings at the libraries once again! A developmental screening is a very general look at how children are doing compared to other children the same age. At a screening appointment, your child's developmental progress will be assessed. Any questions or concerns you may have about your child's development or behavior will be discussed. Information about upcoming stages and home activities will be given. Screenings will include a small fee. To schedule your screening appointment, please call Oklahoma City County Health Department, Child Guidance at 425-4412.
